VODKA

Yes a little vodka can keep bacteria and fungi at bay in your water based products.

Turn your shampoo into a clarifier by adding some. Vodka will also help lower the pH balance of your products which helps to seal your follicles. A closed follicle imparts shine and manageability.

Add dried Rosemary to make your own Rosemary Extract

Recipe

Ingredients: 80 Proof Vodka and Dried Rosemary Herbs

Directions: Place herbs in a dry clean jar. Pour vodka over herbs. Place lid on jar. Store in a dark place. Let steep for 4-6 weeks.

Yes I like playing with mud. Not like the mud we use to play with and make mud pies and smear it all over our clothes only to have momma tell us to strip at the door - Dont bring that in my house!!

Im talking about using mud as a facial cleanser, scalp detoxifier and so much more.

Here's the scoop on clays from www.lolazabeth.com:

Bentonite Clay: is a highly absorbent clay that pulls oils and toxins from the skin and is one of the best clays for making clay poultices.

French Green (Sea Clay): one of the most sought after and commonly used cosmetic clays; loaded with montmorillonite, mineral oxides, magnesium, calcium, potassium, dolomite, silica, manganese, phosporous, silicon, copper, and selenium; superior absorption.

Red Kaolin: most absorbent of kaolin clays.

Blue and Red Montmorillonite: similar in property to bentonite; often referred to interchangeably.

Green Illite (mistaken for French Green Clay, also in red and yellow): does not expand with water.

Multani Mitti (Indian Fullers Earth): similar to kaolin clay; contains alumina, silica, lime, magnesia, iron oxides.

Zeilote: great odor absorbing capabilities; when blended with other clays, has a more balance absorption.

How to use it:

Mix with water, aloe vera juice, aloe vera gel, coconut water, greek yogurt, coconut creme, milk, pureed fruit or veggies, oatmeal to make a thick and creamy hair or facial mask.

Mix with aloe vera juice and your fave oil for a light cleanser.

Here's a recipe for using it to naturally treat ECZEMA/ PSORIAIS. It will help absorb inpurities from the skin and combat the itchies.

Ingredients:

1 TBSPN Purified Water

2 TBSPN Bentonite Clay

1-1/2 TBSPN Collidial Oatmeal (Fine oatmeal grains)

1 TBSPN Baking Soda

Few drops of Peppermint Essential Oil

Directions: Mix all ingredients together. Use as a detoxifier for the hair and scalp.
